With a touch of persona recognizant of the late, great John Entwistle, hemisphere east of STRAIGHT UP!'s rhythm section is occupied by Mr. John Pereira on bass guitar. The initial analogy may seem ironic, as John's love for the bass began with the influences of early Funk, Motown, and R&B, as opposed to the British Invasion. John's rock solid approach to his instrument, as well as his dedication and work ethic, provides the link that comprises the STRAIGHT UP! machine. John also is a veteran rock/funk bassist, having many years of studio and live performance on his resume. In John's spare time, he enjoys sharpening his skills on the golf course.
